How do we get started?
Knowing exactly what you’re looking for is the key to any successful copywriting project. After your initial contact I will call or visit to learn more about your aims and objectives. I will then put together a Project Brief which will include details of your writing requirements, information on deadlines and a quotation. This gives you a clear indication of both cost and timescales for your specific project.
What kind of information do you need?
This will depend on the nature of the writing project but I will certainly want to know about your business. This includes information on your existing client base and competitors as well as your products and services.
What are your rates?
For a small project such as a Press Release or short editing assignment I charge an hourly rate. For larger projects I work for a pre-arranged fee. Copywriting fees cover research, writing, proofreading and editing. If the copy needs to be modified, two revisions are included free of charge. A deposit of 25% is required upfront to secure the project, with the balance due once the project is completed and you are happy with the outcome.
Karen is a professional. During the projects we have collaborated on, all copy that she has produced has been punctual and the highest quality. I have no hesitation in recommending her.
What’s the difference between Copybreak and using an agency?
As a freelance copywriter I can devote my working day wholeheartedly to your project. Your copy will be consistent – benefiting from the same tone of voice and style throughout. Unlike an agency, I also don’t have to worry about office rates and expensive overheads – savings I pass directly on to you.
What about business confidentiality?
I am happy to sign Contract Agreements and Confidentiality Statements relating to your business. All information I receive is treated as confidential and not shared with any other party, unless I have your explicit permission to do so.

Do you design websites?
This is not something I do. My forte is words, which is arguably the most important thing on any website! I do however have a large network of business associates – including web designers and graphic designers – which I am happy to recommend.
