Karen Stewart
Over the years I have worked for a variety of national newspapers – writing, editing and proofreading thousands of articles. It didn’t take me long to realise that many business could benefit from hiring the services of a professional freelance writer. Nearly everything has a Unique Selling Point, but it’s how you get that point across which makes the crucial difference.
As a journalist and copywriter, I am used to travelling throughout Scotland and the UK, working in places such as Edinburgh, London, Aberdeen and Manchester. With any project, it pays to know as much as possible before putting pen to paper – which is exactly what I set out to do with every client. My background has instilled in me not only the importance of getting the facts right, but making even the most jargon-filled copy a pleasure to read.
I have both a BA (Hons 2:1) in Politics & History from Stirling University and an MA in Newspaper Journalism from Napier University in Edinburgh. Primarily working for the likes of The Daily Record and The Scottish Sun, I have built up a reputation as a reliable, professional freelance writer who has never, ever missed a deadline.
In the past I have worked with a diverse range of clients including clothing companies, car manufacturers and universities. Please visit the Copybreak Testimonials page if you would like to read some of the feedback which Copybreak has received.
