Newletter Content Ideas

Newsletters and company magazines are a great communication tool. No matter what way you look at at, they can help raise your company profile and ultimately gain more business. Online or in print, they project your company image to staff, customers and potential clients. Coming up with fresh, interesting copy week after week, month after month, can however feel like an upward struggle – particularly if the writing team consists of just two or three people. So if you’re suffering from the newsletter blues, here are a few ideas to help inject a little pizzazz into your copy. DIY and hobby magazines have been relying on this style of feature for years. Choose a topic which doesn’t take lots of explanation and will appeal to readers. This type of feature can work wonders in large companies where people don’t know what other departments really do. Choose a diverse  range of people to really show off your company expertise. These don’t have to be all about the company. Perhaps you have partnerships with other businesses who could offer prizes in exchange for some coverage in the magazine? Keep everyone up-to-date with the latest developments with an IT page devoted to all things technical. It will show employees you’re keen to help them explore new technology and show everyone else you move with the times. Really think about how you report on recent events within the company. What makes it relevant to your staff or for that matter to potential customers? Make sure you don’t fall into the trap that everyone knows who and what you are talking about. Using jargon will only alienate your audience.
